Senior Attendance Meetings & Letters and Tutoring - Reminder

To be proactive, all seniors with AZTWs in their PowerSchool attendance since 9/5 were given a chance to sit down with an associate principal or attendance designee to review their attendance, ask questions, and develop a plan for recovery. Senior students who recover their AZTWs can regain eligibility for prom and the graduation ceremony. Letters will go home to senior parents and students by the end of February. Students should recover their attendance by March 20th. View remaining SR6 dates and sign-up information (Available to all students). Lunch detention information is available via Google classroom. After school tutoring begins February 26th and will count towards attendance recovery. See After School Tutoring Schedule.

District Issued Attendance Letters - SDUSD

Attendance letters for January went out to families last week from SDUSD. Letters are sent to the parents/guardians of students whose attendance is nearly chronic, meaning they have missed 8-10% of school, and to students whose attendance is chronic, meaning they have missed 10% or more of school this year. The Falcon Playhouse Presents Big Fish - Reminder

This year the Falcon Playhouse plans to entice viewers with stories beyond their wildest dreams from the weekends of February 29th to March 2nd and March 7th to March 9th. Big Fish the musical tells the story of a man, Edward Bloom, and how his imagination has shaped and continues to affect his relationships with others. On his deathbed, Edward Bloom comes face to face with reality, but he never fails to let go of his inspiring tales. Edward and his son, Will, share a complicated relationship that is shoved to the forefront of the musical. Despite the conflict, Big Fish ends on a heartwarming note, giving homage to fatherhood, and displaying the beauty within Edwards narratives. Big Fish will elevate the Falcon Playhouse and convey the importance of storytelling, which is vital to actors and technicians everywhere. To get more information and purchase tickets, visit our website, falconplayhouse.com.

That’s all for today. Enjoy the rest of your Sunday!

Sincerely,

Matt Lawson, Ed.D

Principal
