SRHS Weekly Updates as of 10-15-23
Posted on 10/15/2023

Dear Falcon Families,

The outbreak of war in Israel and the Gaza Strip has led to numerous casualties and injuries and the attack is being broadcast on multiple media platforms including TV and social media.  We acknowledge that our students, families, and staff may be upset by these events.

At SRHS, we have students, families, and staff with cultural ties to this area of the world.  We are here to support and provide resources as needed to our school community during this difficult time. As a No Place for Hate school, we will work together to make sure we continue to  provide a safe space for each and every student within our school community as they process these world events. Our counselors are here to support your student if needed.

Please see below for the latest updates as of 10-15-23.

* Please forward this message to your child’s email account so they have all the latest info.

The Great California ShakeOut will take place on Thursday October 19, 2023 at 10:19 a.m.

Federal Aid Impact Survey - Reminder

Please take this short electronic survey as it provides financial support for our school district since we enroll federally-connected students. This includes children of active duty uniformed services personnel, children who live on federal property or in subsidized federal housing, and children whose parents are employed on eligible federal property. Impact Aid funds become part of the district's general operating budget and support instructional activities for all students.

To complete the short survey:

  • At your next opportunity, please sign-in to the Parent Portal in PowerSchool

  • Select Forms from the left-hand navigation menu, then select 2023-24 Impact Aid Program Survey Form.

  • Follow the prompts and submit the form. Please be sure a confirmation appears before logging off.

  • If you need assistance, or do not yet have a Parent Portal account, please contact our site tech, Jason Lyons at [email protected].

  • For parents using the PowerSchool mobile app, you can submit the survey using the app.

Please complete the survey as soon as possible. Thank you!

Class of 2024 Photo - Reminder

The Class of 2024 will be taking their class photo in the stadium on Thursday, October 26th during Advisory.
