Dear Falcon Families,
The final week before Winter Break is here! This week is finals week. As a reminder, many teachers will ask students to use their Chromebooks for their finals. Please remind your students to bring their district issued laptops, fully charged, each day for finals week. If your student is having issues with their Chromebook, they should visit the library as soon as possible to get help.
Congratulations to our JROTC drill team who did an amazing job at the Sweetwater Drill Competition on December 6th. This competition has three categories: Inspection, Exhibition, and Regulation. Cadets are tested on their military knowledge, graded on their ability to handle various equipment (rifles, flags, sabers), and scored on the execution of drill movements.
CA-935th performed exceptionally, placing within the top 3 for almost every category. Here are Scripps Ranch High School's placings from the competition:
Unarmed Regulation - 1st Place
Unarmed Exhibition - 1st Place
Unarmed Sweepstakes - 1st Place
Armed Regulation - 1st Place
Armed Exhibition - 1st Place
Armed Sweepstakes - 1st Place
Individual Armed (Evan Lam) - 3rd Place
Overall Sweepstakes - 1st Place
These outstanding achievements could not have been possible without the passion, commitment, and involvement of our parents. Thank you to all the parents for their support! Your support helps our cadets grow and develop exponentially!
Last weekend, the wrestling team had an impressive competition: The boys team took 1st place at the Carlsbad Tournament, with champions Rostam Hosseini and David Henderson; silver medalist Liam Murphy and Oliver LIght; and bronze medalist Micah Kollmeyere and Elisha Hosseini. Our girls team placed 5th at the UC Tournament, highlighted by champions Malia Killmeyer, Khyla Adams, and Sophie Geller, along with a bronze finish from Soren Mendoza. Outstanding work all around!
